Newport’s Swim and Fitness Center is comprised of a five lane, climate-controlled swimming pool; whirlpool; state-of-the-art exercise equipment including new Cardio-theatre with flat screen televisions; sauna; and aerobics rooms. Adjacent to the Fitness Center is an outdoor tennis and basketball court.
In Spring 2006, Newport’s Swim and Fitness Center completed a large-scale renovation. The Center now includes a new pool area comprised of a lap pool, whirlpool, and lounge area; state-of-the-art cardio room filled with treadmills, ellipticals, stairmasters and stationary bikes, many outfitted with individual cable televisions. Members can also enjoy a new weight training and stretching area. The new men’s locker room and expanded women’s locker room each now include a sauna, steam room, and tanning bed. There are also three new aerobic studios, including a spinning studio; and a new member lounge with a flat screen TV.
