We would like to thank everyone who came out to celebrate fall with our annual Pumpkin Festival!
Last Saturday, Newport Green Park hosted the celebration. The fall day was the perfect atmosphere! Residents enjoyed an array of activities including facepainting, balloon art, tarot card readings and more! Everyone who attended decorated and took home an organic sugar pumpkin sourced from a local farm, as well as tons of candy. The Bright Horizons River School engaged the youngest attendees with sensory bins designed to educate and entertain.
Attendees of all ages enjoyed the wacky live magic show! This year’s theme was Peter Pan, and the audience got to enjoy Peter and Wendy’s magical misadventures in a hilarious and awe-inspiring hour-long show.
Following the show was a costume parade! Everyone who dressed in costume was invited to take a couple of turns around the lawn, to the applause and appreciation of their neighbors!
Finally, the event concluded with a sweet and spooky story hour! Local artist Ms. Jessica told engaging tales of mysterious specters, haunted houses, and seasonal traditions.
We had an amazing time celebrating our favorite season with each of you!
