Yet another iconic location in Newport, it’s easy to see why so many visit Lighthouse Point each day. One of only nine lighthouses in New Jersey, this lighthouse stands as a beacon to an even brighter future in Newport.

Locally regarded as one of the most incredible places to host a picnic, the park surrounding the lighthouse offers a photo worthy vantage point of the Manhattan skyline as well as access to the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway, which travels past the lighthouse. A newly added boardwalk around the lighthouse compliments super-sized Adirondack chairs to add to the beachfront atmosphere.

Of course, you aren’t the only one excited about a trip to Lighthouse Point. Lighthouse Point is a pet free zone, but located along the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway is the Lighthouse Dog Run, a quiet park for pups to enjoy along the Hudson. Featuring plenty of room to run, roll, and bark with friends, Newport dogs absolutely love it here.
